I've never had anyone ask me about the school system.  It's WAY down on the list of things to care about in my opinion.  The neighbors and the neighborhood will tell all you need to know about it being a good deal.  Some parts are street by street around Chattanooga...

It's probably not a popular opinion on here but I'd suggest you get a Dave Ramsey book and get on his plan first.  Investing in real estate is a great path but I think you need to be ready and build that house on a solid foundation.  My nephew is on the Asperger's spectrum as well, it adds a another layer that's for sure.  But I've found that his mind works on a different level and finding that right job, he can channel it into some amazing potential!  Good luck.

I think the half-time job is your ultimate problem, what is your degree in and why isn't it paying more than min wage?  I think I'd start delivering pizza at night and use that to pay off your student loans AND I'd swap out that part time gig for a full time gig (+ do the pizza on the side).  You need to get a bigger shovel to dig yourself out.  Best of luck my friend!  You can do it!

I opened a separate account and handle all the business stuff through it.  I do not mix funds with my personal account.

I've got family in Huntsville, from talking to them both markets are very similar right now.  People are paying stupid prices.  Great time to be selling I guess, my problem is I'm not looking to sell anything right now...

How many have you called?  I'd say keep calling around, you'll find one eventually.  Just get used to being told no.  It's not the end of the world, just say thanks and move on to the next one.

Yes sadly they discontinue the flooring after a few years that way you have to refloor everything if you need to fix one area...  Can't blame them, it makes them more money.  To get around that as much as possible I save an extra box in case I need to fix a few planks.  I also put a transition piece between each room and then save an extra transition piece as well (1 extra will do three door ways usually).  This way I only have to take up 1 room to fix an issue.

I so wish they'd have 1 standard run that they kept making that way I could have all the same floor and only need to stock 1 thing of extras.  Right now I have about half a small 2BR 1B place with oak looking pergo.  1 box of gray(ish) that I just used for a unit and none extra for a 4 plex I bought last April.  I'm running out of garage space for all the excess stuff I keep after a rehab.  My poor truck is having to sit outside and even my wife's car has been outside while we paint interior doors for our latest fixer upper.
