Thank you Kyle.  Yes...that does make sense.  I wasn't sure if I could use the security deposit towards unpaid rent.  Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post.  

Thanks Joe.  That's what I thought but the agent is telling me the deposits are better.   Appreciate your response.

In a new lease situation, where the tenant has no FICO score because he had lived out of the country, is it better to collect an additional months rent or an deposit?

Seeking an experienced, licensed, motivated, detail oriented property manager in the St Louis, MO area to manage rental property.

Thank you all for the excellent advice.  I will certainly consider all of the suggestions while looking for a property manager that fits my needs.  

I would appreciate any advice on how to find a good property management company.   I also have rental property in the St. Louis area and it is almost ready to lease.  I am having difficulty finding a property manager.  Thanks.
