Hi everyone,

I'm just getting started, kind of.  I bought a rental a long time ago, sold it at a profit and now years later am wanting to get back into things.  I'm looking at investing in duplexes to begin with, but would love to own a 12-24 unit apartment house eventually.  I need help in finding financing, even though I have a bit saved up... enough to get started.  Looking forward to exchanging ideas and things with everyone!

@Darrell Lee  I drove out there and took a look.  It is very remote and on a dirt road.  I didn't like the "neighborhood" either, if you can call it that.  There were pictures on realtor.com, and it showed that a lot of rehab will be needed just to make it habitable.  I think I'm going to pass on this one!  Keep us updated on what happened with your $550 property.  Thanks!

I just found a property not very far from me that is coming up on auction Monday.  Starts out at 10K.  It is a 3br 1ba home on 3.2 acres.  Tempting, but looking at it on Google Earth discourages me a little, as it is very rural and on a dirt road.  I'm not sure I could sell it for much more than that, but the land itself has value.  I may just drive out there tomorrow and check it out in person.

Flirting?  Consider it being friendly...that is just how we are in the deep South.   Now, if I added a wink or two, then it would be flirting!

I think I might go check out that auction.com site.  Could be educational.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is OWC?  Is that owner financing?

Oh...btw, you look so youthful to have been a broker for 30 years!  Congrats!

I would also be interested in an investors meeting in Montgomery or the surrounding area.  I'm in Auburn, and am just getting started in RE investing.  Want to make sure I start out using best practices, and would love to network with those that already have waded in these waters.
