Join us for our upcoming Real Estate Investor Meetup on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, starting at 5:30 PM and ending at 8:30 PM! In order to accommodate those coming straight from work to the brewery, we have extended the meetup by an hour. This is a casual event, so come and go as needed.

Our hosts, Gristworkz Brewing is a local brew pub, which also happens to host their weekly steak night on Wednesdays. They offer a fantastic array of cocktails, mocktails, and an impressive selection of beers.

Location:

Gristworkz Brewing
1504 Chapman St.
Houston TX 77009

I agree with Joshua. Just file an amendment and hire out a new Registered agent that resides in Texas. Probably not worth the further chase of the original firm. @Joseph Waitkevich Would you mind sharing who this is (even in DM) so my team can steer clear of referring or future business with them? I would sure appreciate it.

@Chris Kersey, I just sent you a message.

If you send me over your email address, I will add you to my meetup list. We send out 2-3 reminders each month. No spam - I frankly don't have time to send emails that aren't useful to anyone.

Thank you to everyone that came out last night! It was such a great turnout and means so much to see our community growing.

If there are any specific topics you would like to hear more about from a subject matter expert, please let me know.

Just a reminder that our meetup is tomorrow night at Gristworkz Brewery!

This is an informal meetup for investors to share, learn and help each other grow.

This location was chosen because it is in the up and coming neighborhood of Northside. This is a great buy and hold, high appreciation area, so take some time before or after the meetup to drive around and see how many new builds and renovations are happening. I personally have two properties in this neighborhood, both in the small Near Northside pocket. I chose this location because deed restrictions do not allow the lots to be subdivided, thus will grow similarly to Woodland Heights, just across the highway.

Can anyone recommend an attorney or firm that deals in real estate and estate planning in Texas?

We're looking to get our living trust in order. Some RE related and some not. Thank you.

No problem at all. We have units for MTR that we only do STR between the MTR guests. I have it on 30 day minimums and then edit the minimum when I have a few weeks to fill between the longer stays. Here is one of our calendars so you could see how I fill between the longer stays.

Hi @Freda Agbecha, I have a few medium term rentals here in Houston and they stay pretty booked but it does take effort.

Questions for you- What size are your units and pricing? What is your competition listing theirs for? For Airbnb, do you have 30 days as the minimum day count? This usually pushes your listing to the top when people search the 30 day+ on Airbnb. Also, have you tried Austin Travel Nursing Facebook groups?

If you want to send me over your listings, I am happy to provide you some feedback to hopefully get their occupancy higher. I have one small unit in the med center here (first floor) and we initially thought travel nurses would be the target and we actually switched our focus to patients that needed longer term stays. We furnished with helpful handicap accessible items and relisted the marketing to direct it toward patients and it has stayed booked since. Maybe try that?

Hope some of this helps!
