Looking for recommendations for electricians that are looking to grow their business. Looking for owner-operators not large-scale companies. TY

@Justin Silverio

Thanks for the response Justin. We think eventually we'll have a property in the Boston area, but the prices are so high we don't have the equity yet. You will definitely see us in Waltham this summer.

Thanks again.

@Justin Trudell

That's awesome Justin! Glad to hear that you have found properties cheaper than we were anticipating! We would say we are semi-handy so we don't mind rolling our selves up and putting in some sweat equity. We will definitely keep you posted and might hit you up for some contacts if you don't mind. Do you happen to attend the Black Diamond meetings?

Thanks again!

@Chan K.

Hey Chan, thanks for the response. We appreciate the tidbits, we hadn't thought about section 8 housing.

Looking forward to meeting you in Worcester.

Thanks again.

@Mike Hurney

Thanks for the response Mike. We have definitely looked into vacation rentals on the Cape and plan to add them to our portfolio down the road, however we do feel they are risky because you are talking about only 8-12 weeks of business and then it's pretty much over.

The Cape to Worcester is about an hour and a half and I work in Wrentham so only about 30 minutes from there. We want to try it on our own and then once we get a second property we think we will look into a management company.

We'lldefinitely check out your groups meeting.

Thanks for all of the info!

@Shaun Reilly

Hey Shaun, thanks for the response. I actually saw some of your posts and realized you have a plethora of knowledge in REI in Mass.

I came across the Black Diamond website and realized that I did miss last night's meeting. I saw the next one on 5/20; looks like it's about contractors. Thank you for the info on the other local groups, I plan to at least attend one meeting of all groups I come across. Are you a member of any of these groups?

Thanks again.

@Rob Beland

Thanks for the response. As I said earlier, we are looking into the Worcester area after researching several local markets in MA. It had a lot of good options at a very reasonable price point we felt. We are looking at multi-family units in the downtown area for between $200-$300k. I have a co-worker that has owned a triple decker for 12 years now and he has had a very good run at it and is willing to help me in identifying the "good" neighborhoods. Other than that, I'm not too familiar w/ Worcester just know that it has a couple of colleges, major hospital, has recently upgraded the ""T" access to Boston, and Jet Blue has added it to it's areas served so we feel it is a strong market w/ potential.

Hey guys - My name is Jesse Mayo from Cape Cod MA. I am married w/ 2 young children and currently work up in Wrentham , Ma. Living on the Cape We have met several individuals that have made a very nice life for themselves through real estate and we have finally reached that point in our lives where we have saved a few dollars and have carved out some time to get this venture going.

We are looking to get into the Worcester, MA market w/ a buy and hold style of investing. Currently, we are in the process of getting all of our ducks in a row but hope to make a purchase by the end of the summer.

We have been reading everything we can and have read a lot of useful blogs on this forum.

We look forward to meeting several of you virtually and hopefully someday in person!
