Hi All -
I am currently renting out a condo in Los Angeles and my policy with Progressive has nearly 3x in two years! I know a lot of companies are ditching California with the increased fire risk, but does anyone have a company I can contact for quotes. This is getting out of hand!
Thanks so much for the information and help.

@Alan Asriants thank you so much for all the information and tips, so helpful! I would love to be put in touch with your partner. I would think things are a bit more easy in LA than Orange County (where I am at), but will appreciate any information at this stage during my research. Thanks so much!

Wondering if there is anyone that has build a detached ADU in Fullerton, CA in the backyard of their single family home? Looking to learn how your experience was with going through the permitting process in the city and if you used any vendors that were a positive resource for the process. Any information would be much appreciated! Thank you!

@Cedric Ferrell appreciate the response. Considering that my parents and I are not Canadian citizens it adds an additional wrinkle to things as they or I are not able to claim this as the primary residence and avoid the capitol gains tax... a lot to consider and think about. Thanks!

Hello!
My parents have an apartment in Vancouver that they are debating whether to sell it or pass it onto their kids. With the recent tax law changes in capitol gains taxes in Canada and this property not being their primary residence. Does anyone have thoughts on what the best course of action might be from an investors' standpoint.
I currently manage a long term rental and working on a single family home fixer (will probably convert to rental in the future) in Cali. I'm excited about the potential of owning property outside the states, but don't know some of things I should consider versus owning real estate domestically.
Any info and help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello-
I'm looking to renovate my home and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of contractors they can vouch for, used and seen their work. Looking to do a kitchen/bathroom reno that may involve knocking down walls.
First time dealing with contractors and I've only heard horror stories from friends. If anyone knows anyone that services Orange County area, please drop a note.
Thanks so much!
