What equity position do you prefer to have for your real estate?

And in your experience what do lenders prefer/limit?

@Kahner Delchambre

I have two deals planned once I free up time and capital by finishing my current flip. One deal I’ll be the knowledge and manage everything and my partner is 100% finance. The other deal will be 50/50 everything. After/during those deals I’ll be looking into portfolio loans and other opportunities with local banks as well as finding more partners.

Best of luck to you!

I'm looking for my second flip in/near Milwaukee with my financial partner. I'd love to hear about your progress!

Hey Kahner,

Sounds like you're putting in your due diligence!

I'm from Sheboygan Country. Currently in Grand Forks, ND for PhD. I'm finishing up my first flip here and soon to look for next flip with a partner I have back in southern Wisconsin. I'm just starting out, but as a student with little money getting into real estate here's what I been doing:

-Know why I'm passionate about REI - make sure my head's in the right place.

-Find meetups, connect with others (friends mostly) interested in real estate

-Get as educated as possible

-Bring my knowledge to encourage others who are interested in partnering.

Assuming my current flip goes even remotely as planned I have a partner in Wisconsin and another here in grand forks ill be doing a deal with each.

My realtor and I are exploring seller finance options in our area. My realtor tells me this could impact my current mortgage or that my current lender may not allow it. I've never heard of this issue previously. I'm reaching out to my lender regarding this.

Can someone comment on this or refer me somewhere with more info on this topic - exploring financing on another property when I hold a mortgage on current property?
