Post: Apt in GA. Own House in AL. Pay GA taxes. Disqualifies HELOC?

I guess I should have kept paying double taxes. IF i pay taxes in another state, that means that is my primary residence. Thus I can't get a HELOC on the house i own because it is not my primary residence. I stopped paying double taxes a couple years ago. I really wanted to get a HELOC on my house in AL. Even though the utilities are in my name and all my furniture is there, I'm disqualified. I assume. What do you think?
Post: Why are Mobile, Alabama Property Managers turning down Section 8

Hello guys,
This is a distressing issue. I've called property manager after property manager. They are all telling me they are not accepting properties that use Section 8, and they are not renewing contracts for properties they already have on Section 8. What is going on here? This is the scariest part here because I live out of state. They say it is not the tenants. It is Section 8 policies.
What is going on and what can I do?
Post: Residence in 1 State. Work in another. Am I Out of State Investor

Hello guys,
I've been living in GA for 4 years. But i bought my primary residence in 2006 in Alabama. I want to buy more property in Alabama. I have not switched my driver's license to GA yet. But my taxes are all done in GA. Next year, i will pay off my primary residence. I hope to start renting it this year. I will then use the equity in that house to buy another house. Will I be considered an out-of-state investor in Alabama?
Also all my family lives in Alabama I'm not sure if I can leverage my current dual status. I plan to buy a house in GA next year as my primary residence. Currently I rent an apartment in GA. I guess it would probably be best that I took out a home equity loan before I rented my AL house out, but looks like that wont be an option as I'm trying do get some money now and buy something else next year.
Thanks!
