NO, UNKNOWINGLY - i had no issue renting this room for years and It's mentioned NOW because i just NOW found out! Understandable that properties get sold and relocation is a must. Maybe i raised the issue more out of FRAUD, SAFETY and DISHONESTY in addition to GREED (plus other undisclosed issues) - Whatever they offer, if nothing at all - I will move on and it will NOT ruin my life, as you said - it's just a bump in the road. Thanks!

I have a month-to-month rental agreement for a unpermitted room that has been in effect since 2009. The residence was owned by a woman who died in Nov 2019. Her son now has possession of the property and is currently in the process of selling the house (in escrow). When i was first told that the house would be sold i started looking into relocation information. The son first offered $5,000 to relocate but then rescinded the offer and placed in the listing description that he will not vacate tenant before the close of escrow. The potential new owner made an offer to the current owner and hired a middle man to discuss relocation. The new owner has direction the middle man to offer $2,000 (which will basically leave me homeless due to outrageous rent in L.A Ca). If i do not accept the $2,000 i am afraid of eviction because this is a Single Family home that is not under rent control where the owner does not have to pay relocation and just provide me with a 60 day notice. Please help me understand & how to move forward. Thanks in advance!

Post: Can I use my employer?

In the past I've reported employee violations. In return my employer has notified those specific employees which then return to me stating that my employer gave them my name as the one who reported them. When these alemployees approach me it's always in a very aggressive and negative and sometime threatening fashion. My employer apologized and said it wouldn't happen again. That was months ago. Recently it happened again. My employer recently released the information to a supervisor who then released my name to the employee that was in violation who approached me and stated that if he's fired I will lose my life. I immediately notified law enforcement and made a report. I then notified my employer that this has happened again and my employer is basically and ignoring me. What should I do? Is this grounds for creating a hostile work environment / retaliation because of what my employer / supervisor has done. In addition, there has been racial slurs thrown at me, disapproval of my race working with this employer and a host of other things that has been reported to my employer that is basically being ignored. On one occasion someone from upper management simply said "if they don't like you or making statements because of your race then they should quit." Another person from upper management response was "with all that's going on why do you still continue to work here? With do you think I should do?
