Apologize for the delay, gentlemen.

@Allan Smith  Technically, we'd be the builders in this scenario or at least the project managers to make sure everything happens accordingly. The two jobs we are sub-contracting is for the foundation and framing. After that, we would take over. I'll double check with the city for specific requirements and for the necessary envelopes.

Also, if you were to start over with any of your previous projects, would you do anything differently? Possibly how you assessed the neighborhood? Or dealt with the city when building these homes? Thank you for the reply and advice!

@David Michael

@David Michael My specific question for you is how did go about finding your builders? Word of mouth? Online? Also, if you could re-do previous projects differently, what's the biggest change you would bring? I appreciate the reply!

Hi BP,

My father and I are looking to develop our first single-family home to sell in central NJ. We run a small construction/maintenance company in the area specializing in renovating apartments/homes. We are closing on a lot by the end of the month so I was hoping to speak to someone about the steps necessary to develop this home from beginning to end with minimal hiccups. I'm happy to learn and appreciate any feedback.

I'm also new to BP, so if there is a better place to post/seek help, feel free to let me know.

Thanks,

Jaise
