Thanks. What is included in a septic certification?

The seller has serviced the septic system, and I asked to see the invoice. It says there are signs of previous failure, but water level indicates it was working at the time of cleaning. I called the septic service company, and spoke to them, and they suggested wait and see approach. At most, he said it may need a $1000 repair in the future. I am within my time frame to cancel the contract , but so far like the property.

I am a newbie here. I am purchasing a home in Center Point Alabama, and the recent invoice for septic pumping stated there were signs of a previous failure. However, the system at the time of pumping was in good working condition. I talked to the service company and was told i could have it inspected for about $500 but better to just wait and see what happens, because the repair would be about $1000 if needed, and that includes inspecting it. 

Would appreciate any advice.
