What area is the property located? I've considered investing there because my kids go/went to USC. I think Rose Hill is a good area. It can be a mixed bag there for sure.

Lexington area and forest acres neighborhoods area

My son said those are good areas for young families. You wouldn't get college kids there. Lots of young military families moving to the area for Fort Jackson.

Check FB marketplace. I posted mine there and got way more responses that any other site. It was a mix of people but I found renters that were high quality. Plus you can check out their profiles to get a little more info on if they are the kind of renters you are looking for.

I am wondering the same thing. Putting an offer on a house with an ADU. My share of the mortgage will be about $1000, so the same as my current rent for a one bedroom apartment. The house is 3/1 and needs lots of reno but the ADU is fixed up and has a long term renter. I am thinking this is a good property to try with training wheels. I am in a slightly rural area with limited inventory right now and I need to move in the next couple months.
