I don't know enough to speak to it, but I really hope a conversation starts around this.

That sounds good, @Michelle Lutz ! I didn't see any on the events board (though I could just be using it wrong). How often do they happen?

This is EXACTLY the kind of deal I need, except I plan to hold it. You're legit!

Hey BiggerPockets forum!

My wife and I are trying to find our first rental property. We live in the KC area and plan to BRRRR here for awhile, starting with sfh in Missouri suburbs like Gladstone, Independence, Raytown, and eventually moving our way into Johnson County on the Kansas side (maybe Prairie Village) when our bank roll gets big enough.

As to who we are, she does hair and is at the top of her field in an upscale Aveda salon. She's also traveled for Aveda, teaching other stylists in salons for over a decade. My career journey has been much more winding. I've done a lot of things from being a bouncer to a haunted-house monster to a professional writer with a bunch of novels and novella including an Amazon #2 bestselling horror novel (you just can't beat a new Stephen King book) before my publisher went bankrupt. For the past 3 years I've been a back-end web developer. Of course REI is the next logical step! If life is a game of Twister, that is…

But I’m very serious about jumping all the way into whatever I’m doing, and I’m looking to meet other people who feel the same, to learn from and to hopefully one day be able to help. If you feel the same way, please reach out!
