@Cian R. we are pursuing these tax credits. This process takes a significant amount of time but should be worth it for our company and our investors in the end. I would recommend contacting your state representative (DOI) for part 2 because the guidelines are not clear in the documents. I also do not want to give any advice since we have not been approved on our project yet, and I do not want to steer you wrong

Does anyone have experience with historic tax credit transferring with the sale of condos?

Our company has two historic developments in a historic district. We are renovating the properties to meet historic standard to qualify for historic tax credits at the National and State levels. We are converting the apartment buildings into condos to sell units to cover development costs.

We have been told that the tax credits can be transferred to the person/company that purchases the condo after development is complete. The project will be eligible for a tax credit of 25% of the total development cost ($1,000,000). Does anyone from BP have experience with this topic?

Thank you in advance,

Jeff

@Eamonn McElroy thank you for the referral. We really appreciate the support.

Hello All,

Does anyone have a recommendation for an accountant and bookkeeping company in Colorado that focuses on real estate. We need a company that is experienced in syndication, tax credits, cost segregation, depreciation, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Jeff Zimmerman

Our company is in search of an Architect and General Contractor in Denver that focuses on “pop-top” “Add a level” construction. We have 10 years experience in fix and flip properties but we are looking to step our developments up to the next level. If anyone has contacts to pass along, it would be greatly appreciated.
