Hi, my name is Jeremy and I am a 29-year-old living in the Portland/Vancouver area. Completing my Master's in Finance in August and plan on investing in real estate within six months after graduation. Interested in Portland, Vancouver, and surrounding areas (Battleground, Ridgefield, Camas, Hillsboro, Beaverton, etc.). I would preferably like to purchase a multi-family duplex or triplex and intend in living in one of the units. 

Curious what the forum's general thoughts are on properties in this area, multifamily pros/cons, and any other advice that may be handy!

I am looking to invest in real estate in the next 3-6 months and would like to find a reputable contractor available in the Vancouver/Portland market. The goal is to invest in a property in Clark County, WA, so preferably in Washington or North Portland. Looking for a contractor that can 1.) inspect the property pre-purchase and 2.) be able to repair/renovate/upgrade a property.
