Did do a sewer line inspection but the plumber only cleans up 60ft deep into the line -- The issue is around 70-80ft but to your guy's point I could have done a better job catching the red flags.. Lessons have been learned
Thank you all! I will do my research and follow up with you-- Appreciate this advice-- A lot of work to do but hopefully my mistake can help someone in the future.

Hey guys,
Recently purchased a 3/1 sfh in Warren, MI it appraised great home inspection was good. However, fast forward a few weeks and now I am having sewer issues. I had a plumber do a full hydro jetting clean up and he advised me that there may be a cracked on the sewer pipe a few feet away from the city drain pipe. I got a couple of quotes from they are saying 10-15k work without including the cost of repairing the concrete of the sidewalk. Have any of you been though this.?? Any advice.. It's heartbreaking. I only had the property a few weeks and this just happened.. Appreciate you all taking the time to read and share any notes..

Hi Benjamin,
I am also an investor in the area- I believe the community has all the right variables to see an increase in rent in the next 5-8yrs
In what streets are you investing on?

Quote from @Paul De Luca:
Brighton Park and Little Village have the highest concentration of residential units in 2-4 unit buildings in Chicago (70% and 71% respectively). The areas are comparable in my experience (rents, taxes, demographics). I'm optimistic about Marshall Square (eastern Little Village) with the proximity to the pink line & Pilsen along with a decent retail presence in the area.
I think Canaryville is a bit underrated since I hardly hear anyone talk about it.
I grew up in Pilsen and I have seen the movement and growth of the pink line. South Lawndale has a lot of potential as well as north lawndale. A lot of city money put in to these areas. Mackinley park and Douglas park are both iconic parks

@Chris Mason I am just not finding the right places in Chicago for my budget and know the west Michigan Market well, and have a 20% down (is that enough) for a property there.
Hi evan,
I am having the same issue bought a 4 unit in North Lawndale area- looking into a property in East Detroit.
