@Jason DiClemente thank you. Definitely understand. So what I was truly asking is if it is possible to start that small or should I keep working on saving every dollar for another 6 months and amass more savings before I even think about getting a rental property? Or is it possible to start with $5000 and build from there? Appreciate all the advice.

Hello everyone and thank you for having me. My name is Jim Connor. I have dreams of owning rental properties and wish to learn lots about achieving this dream. At the moment I am a software developer and am looking to see how I can quickly get started with not much money down.

Does anyone have a success story of starting out with $5000 and being able to build their real estate empire to a $1M portfolio? I've tried finding myself but unable to search those specific amounts without getting a ton of other unrelated posts. This forum seems like a great place with helpful people and I look forward to working with more knowledgeable people. Thanks again.
