Is it OK to take a loan out of my solo 401k and use it as down payment or repair fund to purchase my next primary residence? What is the cap now, still $50k? This is not an investment but we do have a need to do so.
@Daniel McNulty
I just received a check exceeding 250k from my previous employer and about to deposit it into my solo 401k account. I have not decided how or where to invest so it can sit in the account for months even years
@Carl Fischer

Hi, Brian,
It is great to know that I can spread money across different banks as long as using the same plan and trust name.
Yes, I plan to invest in real estate but need to do some homework on what category to invest. Rental, flip, note, syndication etc. which one(s) fit better with solo 401k?
In addition, it looks like market will be down in a couple of months so the fund may sit still for months even years
Thanks
Jim
I am going to roll over my 401k money from my previous employer to a solo 401k account. The amount is beyond FDIC insured $250k. what can be done to get it fully insured?

I bought a rental property in Oklahoma City metropolitan area two years ago and am considering refinance it due to the low rate recently. I have excellent credit score but a major change compare to 2 years ago is l lost my W2 job. What is the best 30 year fixed rate for a program that do not require income document?
Any loan broker recommendation?
AMtrust send me letter offering a low rate. Anyone have experience working with them.
Thanks

I often receive mails from some lenders offering rate reduction and claiming may not need appraisal, credit report or income documents. Are these scam or worth trying? How do they get information on my loan?
