@Thomas I., welcome to BP! @Aaron Yates and I co-host the monthly meetups. We announce the meetup each month (they change locations and days of the week to help folks with pre-existing commitments) here on BP and on FB. I link to the event on my FB page (see my sig below) and I think Aaron does as well.

We've also been putting together an email list of attendees who want to be notified of future events. If you want to be on that send me a private message with your email address and you'll get an email every month.

Aaron, a quick glance at Salary.com has the median salary for all real estate agents under $40k. Top 10% is under $60k. That's not starting. I believe in you, but it would not be a good job to replace the income you are making now.

For what it's worth, I have three times offered to install a dishwasher in a rental at no extra cost because I have one sitting in my garage. All three times the wife wanted the cabinet space, instead.

It occurs to me that judging Metro Detroit based on the bad parts of Detroit is like judging New York based on the Bronx and ignoring Manhattan. Or LA based on Watts.
