 We are thinking of doing a road trip and actually going to these cities, to check them out. That's the first step. I need to educate myself ore about each local economy as well.

My name is Joe and I recently discovered this community, books and podcasts.

My spouse and I are looking into diversifying out investment portfolio (which is a challenge in the SF Bay Area), so we're currently looking out of state (mainly St Louis, Memphis, Kansas City are on the shortlist right now).

After having gone through the housing crisis in 2008, we're still a little cautious and funds are limited for the first deal.

I am looking forward to connect!

Rumi - I think you and I have very similar goals. We live in Orinda and I am not reading a lot about investing in several areas. St Louis, Memphis, Kansas City are on the short list at the moment.
