could I get a copy as well? johnato @ g . clemson . edu

btw, wasn't there a place in BP that had a ton of downloadable pdfs? where did this go?

@Eric Veronica That’s what I was thinking as well. I just needed to hear it from someone more credible so thanks!

I’m still going to take the interview and try to use it to continue building my network.

@Eric Veronica It’s crazy that you mention the 10000 hour rule because I was listening the the biggerpockets business podcast episode 1 today and Joshua Dorkin explained that he basically invested 10000 working hours into BiggerPockets before it took off. I’ve been trying to build my network and so far have about 3 LOs that I’ve chatted with. So I’m definitely trying to build the “who” aspect. I have an interview with someone for a loan processor position and one of my main concerns is getting hired on and not getting to the LO position fast enough.

Do you think it’s wise to take a Loan Processor position (if offered) and then be promoted?

@Benjamin Piecenski I’m an alumni of Clemson University with a BS in Marketing and Finance. For the last 7 years I’ve been in the car business working my way up through the ranks and am currently in a finance manager role working with banks and lenders getting folks approved for car loans. So I have a pretty solid grasp on loans, terms, stips, and what it takes to get a loan bought. But I’d definitely like to expand my knowledge into the mortgage and/or commercial lending industry.

I’m looking to break into the real estate industry via lending. Does anyone have any connections to loan originators in the Greenville SC market? Always looking to grow my network!

Also, does anyone know what is the best path to become a loan originator? I’ve heard some people say you have to be an analyst first. Then some others say you have to be a junior loan officer first. Thanks in advance for everyone’s time.
