I am New York Home Inspector for the last 20 years.. Working on getting my Florida Home Inspector License and My Real Estate sales License for my move in January...For some reason the state Licenses have no Reciprocity... I guess they want the money

Hey, I was actually talking about the last bill that did pass… Not the one that passed house in sitting over in the Senate, Which is actually going nowhere… I don’t know what’s all the arguing about? Every state has the positives and negatives… Can’t we all just get along...I guess I’ll ask my question at the webinar…

Hey, Thaks for the reply, I guess I was not clear. I am not talking about being a land law in different states... I am talking about the new Federal Cares act and Personally starting with a new property and being a Project manager in Florida ( or anywhere in the USA) during the COVID-19 epidemic...
Starting over with my first rental in Florida, getting a tenant who pays the first month's rent and that's all the money you get unit you get them out...

The next new Cares act that they are working on right now may include more of the same:

>>CARES Act Section 4024(b) prohibits landlords of certain rental “covered dwellings” from initiating eviction proceedings or “charg[ing] fees, penalties, or other charges” against a tenant for the nonpayment of rent. ... It also bars those landlords from issuing a notice to vacate during the 120- day period.Apr 7, 2020<<

Thanks All

John

I am retiring and moving to Florida, I sold all my rentals up here in New York, with all the new rules that let tenants skip payments and bar you from evections. Why would I go buy a new property just to have a tenant stop paying?

I am a NY. a past licensed Realtor ( property manager) and Licenced Home Inspector working to get my Florida creds, Even that seems like a waste of time? How can you manage a property is everyone stops paying?
