Happy Friday everyone!
I’m starting the rehab process on a property in an area where having some security would be beneficial. The home doesn’t currently have WiFi, and most wireless camera systems seem to require it.
Looking for recommendations from anyone who has tackled this before—what worked for you? Any go-to camera setups or creative solutions for monitoring without WiFi?
Appreciate any insights!

Hey Alex, welcome to BP!
I own and invest in Birmingham and would be happy to connect to share insights and introduce you to contacts in my network.
I also work for a local property management company that serves many out-of-state investors.
If you come across any properties, I’d be happy to provide rental analysis reports based on comparable rentals to help you evaluate potential investments.
Looking forward to connecting!

Great points, Zhara
Birmingham has relatively steady and diverse rental demand, and I’ve seen many investors I work with have success with C/B class buy-and-holds.
Location is key—areas near UAB, major employers, and popular suburbs tend to have the strongest rental demand, while C/D class markets offer solid affordable housing and Section 8 opportunities. However, some of the best cash-flowing markets on paper can also come with the biggest management challenges. It’s definitely a street-by-street game in many areas
