yes i realize NY is not a Landlord friendly state but ive got turnkey out of state property already and i like to try something closer to home and something not " turnkey". I realize this will be a huge difference from out of state turnkey investing.
Screening tenants.. would it be smart to let a company do this for me or would it be smart to do it Myself? Im assuming renting 3 different rooms to 3 different tenants is smarter then renting a unit to 1 family to pay the entire rent.

@Twana Rasoul
I'm a little new to this term of house hacking I understand the concept but what is that really means ? Does it mean I'm making 3 different leases for 3 different bedrooms in the 3 floor for example.
Literally brand new at this. The numbers would only work if this were the case or else the numbers wouldnt work with out house hacking.

Purchasing MULTY FAMILY property in New York City . Would that be a good idea at this time?
Do plan on living in one unit and renting out the other unit.
Plan on taking advantage of these low rates

when a property management company is paid to make a property ready for a next tenant Money is paid for this.
Should in this price that was paid , include landscaping costs , "materials , utilities
, locksmith fees "? I have a rent ready fee and these fees on top of the rent ready fee.
How can you have a maintenance fee if the property is not rented out?
Then there's another fee for "rent ready in house labor RR"
I'm a new investor . The property is a " Turnkey home" only rented out for a few months.

@Nick Rutkowski
Low income tenants I assume isnt a terrible thing , unless it's a war zone type of location.
Just would like steady cash flow.

@Gus McGiver
Yes avoiding vacancy is key.
But I'm sure it's easy to get the average non student to rent a place there as well?
Dont wish to rely on renting to students since colleges are closed

@Calvin Thomas the numbers would make sense even though the taxes are a bit high.
But no nothing of the market. Its bank owned but that is the 1st time i deal with bank owned property in general i am still new to real estate investing
