@Michael Lewis that’s a big deal! I don’t know that regulating sales is the solution, however, if it cut resale in half, that may be a good thing.

Dang @Jim K., thanks for the education on masks! I can see what you are saying about the facial hair. Maybe I’m not as hardcore as I thought(have facial hair) but I tend to not wear a tool belt as much anymore and hold my breath a lot and pull my shirt over my face when making small cuts of concrete stuff. When I have to clean up, like sweep etc, I’ll wear a disposable mask. If I was spraying shellac I’d opt only for a mask with the filters, but I see where this is going, and I think I should be switching to a more sustainable future. My lung is pretty jacked, probably because I used to sleep on the floor of homes we were remodeling for investors. Maybe the mask outage is just what we needed, but I will say this, I think the stuff we breath is the most dangerous thing on the job site, up there with falling off something high, or getting something in your eye.

@Rob Ferdinand I’d like to look into these cloth style masks with replaceable filters. This mask outage is making us rethink the mask options!

@Erik Baumer you’re right. It’s probably better to make a habit of wearing one of those. Usually I’ll get one, leave it in the wrong position, then it gets dust in it and I don’t want to use it again. Probably finding somewhere to hang it would be ideal

I can just see these masks sitting in someone’s pantry right now because they’re preparing for something, while dudes who need them literally have no access.

People don’t realize this is like gloves being gone for surgeons. Remodelers need masks to protect from fiberglass insulation, rat sh-t dust, etc. There’s going to be a lot more remodelers sick from this than people from the corona virus. I’d guess there’s 1 million construction guys without masks right now in the US, while there may be 200 people exposed to the Corona. MASK investors please calm down on doubling your profits!

@Pat L. Hilarious! Drywall dust and cigarette! He’s in this for the long haul. I used to roll without them, until I couldn’t breath when my lungs got jacked.

@Nicky Reader crazy, I’ll have to check that out. The guy at Lowe’s just told me the manufacturers said when you sell out, that’s it.
THEY WONT BE SENDING ANYMORE MASKS.
