- What neighborhoods do you prefer to buy in?
- What price range (ballpark) are you looking to buy at in those particular areas?
- Are there any parts of town that you will not buy in?
-Is there a minimum number of bedrooms and/or bathrooms that you require, or a minimum amount of square footage?
- Do you only buy single family properties, or are you also interested in multi-family?
- Are you looking for properties to rehab and resell, or do you plan to buy and hold?

I think there's two ways to look at this. Real Estate investing can be very intimidating for someone who is green. For me personally, someone who is trying to break into this arena, I would love to just jump into things and get going, but at the same time I know I don't know everything and risking thousands of dollars just doesn't feel right. I learn more by doing than just reading and researching, so why not ask someone in the business and seek out advice from experts. I think seeking out a mentor, as I am trying to do, can be the key to someone doing well or failing completely, whether it be in real estate investing or other aspects of one's life. At the same time it is very important for someone to learn on their own and do their research and reading before doing anything at all. I'm sure there are many people who do not do anything and just ask dumb questions about how they can make $1 million in a month and really have no idea what they are talking about. So are some NEW investors lazy? Yes probably, but some of them are not. I think you'll see this trend in any field, its human nature. The lazy will dream and wish for everything while doing nothing, while the doers will wish for nothing and go out and do everything.
