Thanks @Donald Capwell,

I've moved past the beginners guide, but I still go to it when I forget something or have questions. Right now I'm looking to get my team together and have had my eye on a few houses here in town.

My plan is to work on 2-3 bedroom houses for rental properties. I'm also tossing around the idea of using prefab homes with brick underpinning as another way to get into the Real Estate scene.

@Jerry Padilla
To answer your question: No, as of right now I'm living with the in-laws to save money on the bills to put toward my investment properties. I've heard of using FHA to get started before. I remember reading something about using a Federal Loan to buy a duplex-4plex and living in one of the units for the first few years while using the other units as income.

My account saying I've been on Biggerpockets for about a year now, but in truth I've been studying Real Estate off and on for a little more than that. It was only in the last 6 months did I realize just how little I knew about Real Estate, and how much I really wanted to learn.

My name is John Whitfield, and I am a aspiring real estate investor. As the year ends and a new one begins I hope to take a leap of faith and secure my first deal to take hold of my freedom as a Real estate investor and Entrepreneur.

Looking forward to meeting and greeting some great minds here on the forums and the site.
