I’m looking my at a couple properties that lend themselves to convert units into condominiums. Specifically I’m looking at Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Has anyone here completed a conversion like this?

Any things to avoid that were troublesome?

@Jens Nielsen. Thanks for the info.

I’m looking at A and B properties.
I currently have an A property in SF that’s doing quite well. Now it’s time to expand.

Do you find that prices tend to lag the coasts?

Anecdotally, I’ve seen that NM real estate prices are affected several months after prices in the East and west coasts fluctuate.

I recently got back into real estate investing (purchased a duplex). Due to market uncertainty, I’ve been looking for data on the Santa Fe and Albuquerque markets but haven’t found much info.   Do you have suggestions where to find info such as:

- Market rents for 2 and 3 bedroom dwellings

Price per sq foot for dwellings with: 2bed 1bath, 3bed 2bath, and for 4bed 2bath.

Thanks

I can relate. Last year was difficult to find people who could help remodel

With the lack of construction workers, companies are dedicating their resources to large projects. Can’t blame them since it provides longer-term stability.

Fortunately, I can do most remodel work. But it definitely took a while to complete  a couple remodels after work or weekends.
