Hello Bigger Pockets community members! My name is Joe Davis. I am 28 years old and I am currently a registered nurse working in Columbus OH but I live in Lancaster. The only real estate experience I have is buying my own homes in the past. Right now, I am just trying to learn as much as possible about rentals, buy and holds, and flipping. Just trying to learn the ropes a little bit so that I can hopefully get started on a successful career in real estate and achieve financial freedom. If there is anything I can do to provide my services for anyone in the area, I would be glad to help out. I am not very handy but would like to learn odds and ends. I am willing to help out anyway I can. Thanks

Post: how accurate is the auditor's valuation?

I am new to real estate and right now I am just trying to learn as much as I can. I am not sure if this question is too broad but are the property valuations on the county auditor site usually very accurate? I will sometimes look at their valuation and compare it to the selling price to see how much they correlate. I just want to know if this is something that may be safe to go by or if you should just talk with a professional in the area. Thanks!

Post: Borrowing against Pension plan and Roth IRA

So I am a newbie to real estate. I have no properties yet. Wanted to get into flipping and/or buy and holds. Anyway, I really don't have a lot of capital saved up at this time but I have heard about borrowing money against your pension plan. Wanted to know if anybody knows about that sort of thing? Again, I am a newbie and if this is a stupid idea by all means tell me so. Also, I have a Roth IRA and wondered if you could do the same with that? Or us this even possible? Just looking for creative ways to not put much cash down. I also bought Brandon Turner's book about financing with little to no money down and I look forward to reading that. Thanks in advance
