Post: Will I get taxed in Michigan if I use a Connecticut LLC?

I have an LLC I formed last year in Connecticut but have been unsuccessful with landing a deal I was happy with in that state. Just found an amazing deal in Michigan. It seems it would be easiest to just use my Connecticut LLC especially because I have a bank set up with it for this property. Will I have to pay double taxes though? Is it worth dissolving and starting over in Michigan?

HI Everyone,

I'm going to be in Detroit this weekend and was looking for a property manager to give me a crash course on the market and help me find some occupied single and multi family rentals to invest in.

Please feel free to message or colleague request me on here

Best,

Do you usually go with livable sq ft or total sq ft when looking at comps for a place?  There's one comp I'm looking at thats 1940 total but only 1040 livable.  When I'm averaging this comp in with my others in  the area which number should I use?

Post: How Do You Get a Bank to View HML as Cash?

I found another great short sale deal which I offered asking price. I put down cash and used my Lending Home HML Pre Approval letter as my POF. The selling agent is saying that this doesn't count as cash and says bank will count as a mortgage and deal must be cash only. Lending Home says theyve done numerous deals and have never run into this problem. I'm wondering if this is why I keep losing out to the other offers I've made this year. Can anyone give advice on solutions?

Post: Is this type of hard money loan possible?

I was talking to a friend who is also new at this and she mentioned that she may have read somewhere about a hard money deal where it's 0% interest for the 6 months.  Of course she's not 100% sure where she saw it and all of the details.  Is this kind of deal possible if the lender is paying for 90% of purchase plus construction?
