Sounds good to me!

Hello everyone! 
I’m a newbie who’s been in the construction industry my whole life. I’m looking desperately for some sort of networking with other people that are investing, that are similar to myself. There has got to be a group of small time contractors out there, that are also investing. I’ve looked high and low. If anyone knows any meetup groups that have a couple people in construction or know of a way I could network with fellow contractors I would appreciate it. Thanks y’all 

Howdy y'all! I feel lucky to have found this forum. I'm currently in construction and have managed to save up around 50k. I'm really trying hard to get into real estate investing but wherever or whoever I reach out to seems to end up being a scam. My short term goals and what seems practical to me is: buying a house that needs some work. Fixing it up and ultimately renting it out. I'm interested in some meet ups as well but I feel I may be out of place in uptown. I'm also looking to get my realtor license but don't know how that works without having a sponsoring broker. If there's anyone having some meet ups in the Denton county area let me know. Thanks
