Hey Everyone on BP!

My name is Joe R. and I actually joined BP about a year ago. My wife and I built custom homes in Birmingham, Alabama for about eight years, right up until the crash. We got out clean (no bankruptcy), but lost all of our savings, etc. trying to keep our good credit good, which we did. We are now in a much better place and are trying to get back into real estate, maybe wholesaling, or team with a dashboard investor. We don't have much to invest in a property and we are trying to find investors looking for experience and sweat equity (I know, me and everyone else) to team with. We have much to offer. I am a Master Plumber, licensed HVAC contractor and trim carpenter, and my wife is a designer with experience in just about everything homes. My new email address is: [email protected]

Have a good weekend all!

Joe R.

Greetings everyone! My name is Joe Rumaker and I live and work in Dallas, Texas. My wife and I moved here from Birmingham, Alabama where we were new home builders and renovation contractors until the economic conditions made us do the RE owners dance (went through our savings, ran up the credit cards, got a job). Luckily we moved all of our properties without losing our good credit. Now, here we are again, slowly moving back into our passion, real estate. Now that I have bored everyone to tears, I look forward to seeing you all around the message boards.

Welcome Rand! I'm about 14 minutes senior on here! I am also from Birmingham, Alabama (Roll Tide!). My wife and I have been in Texas for the past three years and are now just re-entering the real estate market here in Texas. We are starting small with a few wholesale deals to generate some capital, but hopefully we will be back at it full-time soon. We were home builders/renovators in Birmingham and left when the market for new homes fell. I am just curious, but has the Birmingham market rebounded much? When we left foreclosures were at an all time high and investors were not doing too much. Not that we want to return, just curious. BTW, I am familiar with the Birmingham market as it was five years ago. We flipped several homes with great success. We had offers from other investors to jump on the section 8 bandwagon on some multifamily deals, but luckily decided against it just before the fall...

Let me know if I can help with contacts there in Birmingham (if they are still around). You can contact me direct at:
