@James Wise Definitely understand that it is a slow wealth building process. I am just trying to figure out if i am going to invest in state or out of state for my first property.

@Jaysen Medhurst Don't necessarily have a particular market in mind at the moment as I am not sure where to even start looking, but New Britain seems to a place that constantly see brought up in the discussions. Currently i live in Manchester.

I have also considered investing out of state as i feel i might be able to get more value for my money out of state, but i realize it might be better to invest locally first for my first property.

I am mainly considering buying and holding for my first property.

I am new to REI. I started giving it some serious thought earlier this year so i have been studying; read the The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to REI), watched videos on Youtube and started following/contributing to the REI sub on Reddit. At times all the information can be overwhelming especially all the numbers and trying to analyze properties.

I am not entirely sure where i want to invest/purchase my first property as I reside in CT, but have been trying to leave the same for years. There isn't much career opportunity here at the moment.

I have some capital set aside for my first property about $30k. I am looking mainly to hold onto and rent  my property.

@rachael agruso Can I reach out to you as well? I am new real estate investing, but i would love to hear about your experiences with New Britain. It seems to be an area that I am constantly hearing or reading about.
