I am thinking about doing a 1031 exchange and I have a few questions... First, can it be legally done without a real estate agent to save money? And how? Second, can it involve my home that has an owner carry back paper? It would be my owner carry back property for a home that is owned free and clear.

Hi there BP friends! I have been listening to the podcast from the first episode (at 32 now) and dragged my feet long enough on actually posting anything. So now I say hello! I bought a home from my father and sold it when I was younger and blew all of the profit. About 5 years ago, I purchased another home for my residence in Prescott Valley AZ. A little over a year ago, I found an owner carry back deal for a home on 40 acres near Kingman AZ. I still hold the latter 2 properties. I am looking to begin taking REI more seriously and hope to do something in the buy and hold game. Hoping there are some other Prescott / Prescott Valley BPers out there!
