Not sure if Thailand is still of interest as this post is from a few years. However, there are Ramada resort residential suites available in Jomtien, Thailand for approx. USD $60K. It is affordable ownership without the caveats of timeshare. So, you vacation there and earn income when not in use. Ramada rents it out. Yield is 8.87% increasing as occupancy rates go up with the tourist numbers. Developers will buy back after 7 years. No additional monthly fees or maintenance fees as you would have with timeshare. Hope that helps. --Priti Donnnelly

Hello @Priti Donnelly. Do you live there? I'm looking to invest out there. Where can I find more information on this or anything like it? Can you point me in the right direction?

Hey Juan, welcome to BP! Fellow veteran here also (USMC). You're definitely in the right spot for advice and connecting with like-minded people though. What areas are you currently looking in?

Thank you Justin I’m glad to be here. I’ve been looking all over DFW. I’m keeping options open as far as the type of property depending on zoning if it can work as a primary residence, multi unit, and STR. I’ve looked around college campuses and medical facilities. I’ve even looked around military installations as well.

Hello BP community!

I'm a fairly new agent/investor located in Dallas/Fort Worth Metro. While transitioning out of the army I purchased my first home in 2010. It was a foreclosure located in Long Beach California and it has become my first rental property for the past 3 years and the beginning of my investment property itch. I moved to DFW a couple years ago and I'm looking to expand my investment portfolio, work with investors, network, and learn from all the countless likeminded people on BP. I've also been looking at international investment properties in SE Asia and would love to talk with anyone who has any type of experience with this. As an agent I want to focus on REO listings for potential discounted properties. I'm also very familiar with veteran benefits and would love to network with other veterans as well. I'm glad I found this community and wish everyone success in whatever your goals are. Feel free to reach out to me anytime.
