@Shane Elias-Calles Most investors agree with the following step strategies...

1. Have a quality homeowner/landlord policy

2. Get a umbrella policy (they are relatively cheap, even for a multimillion dollar policy)

3. If you have exposure (high net worth, lots of assets, un-mortgaged properties, several units, etc) look into an asset protection system such as LLC, Business trust or DSC, S-Corp, C-Corp. This last step you should definitely use an attorney (and accountant) to help you build what's best for your personal unique situation.

@Scott Smith from Royal Legal Solutions is an asset protection attorney who specializes in RE investors. Its worth giving a call to his firm if your ready for that move.

I currently use the Amex Platinum Business which is great for travel (Free lounge use, 5x travel rewards, etc) but mediocre with other purchases (1x point per dollar, 1.5X with purchases over 5k). I travel a lot because most of my investing is out of state, but I feel like I loose out on points with other major purchases.

What credit card do you use and what are the most important perks in your opinion?

@Jonathan Greene

On the Bigger Pockets platform I enjoy helping other investors, not charging too be a "life coach", all while giving respect.

@Jonathan Greene

It is ironic that your a "life coach" yet you started a 136 post thread mocking people.

We were all new at some point.

I highly suggest reading David Greene's book below. Its a non-rhetoric meat and bones bundle of info.

If you're referring to legally....I would think you wouldn't have an issue. Either remote closing, or a local representative to sign for you.

Best of luck!

 Hello @Ross Leavitt, I haven't done any investing in NV as Im trying to focus on my current 5 markets. That doesn't mean I wouldn't invest there or think that Reno has great potential. I also really like Vegas, but that train has left a few years back, haha.
