@Bruce Lynn Perfect, #1 I run my own Amazon business so I’m not tied to a specific city, but as I’ve mentioned, I’d like to stay close to Austin, Houston, or Dallas.

@Ryan Kelly I’d like to stay close to Dallas, Houston, or Austin. My budget for my first purchase is 200-300k.

@Andreis Bergeron for my first purchase, I’m looking at 200-300k range. I enjoy fixing house problems and would enjoy a fixer upper. I probably stick to around the larger northern cities, Dallas, Houston, Austin.

@Eric James I don’t really, I’ve only visited McAllen. Didn’t really vibe with it, but I’ve got some good friends near Dallas who think I’d really enjoy the city.

@Caroline Gerardo I run my own Amazon business so I can’t live too far out in the country. My dream is to build my real estate portfolio and step back from my Amazon business to let someone else run d’au to day operations. I’d like my first purchase to be in the 200-300k range, and definitely wouldn’t mind a fixer upper.

My husband and I are selling the mobile home we’ve been in for two years (at a significant profit surprisingly) and we’re looking at moving into Texas to buy our first house. We plan to stay a year to renovate, then move on to the next house and keep the first house for a rental indefinitely. Could someone explain to me the steps of finding an area or neighborhood to purchase a property in?
