Post: New investors in Atlanta

My husband and I are life long residents of Atlanta and have decided we are ready to invest in buy and hold properties in the Atlanta area and anywhere else that would be a great market. I am in healthcare and he is a former real estate agent. My dad is a real estate agent and mortgage lender and has been in real estate for over 20 years. We have plenty of coaches and knowledgable people in our lives which is a real blessing.

We plan on attending our first REIA meeting this week. I am super excited but I do realize that it might take awhile to find that first deal. In the meantime I am reading, listening to BP podcasts and looking at home on the MLS, here on the marketplace and looking at the numbers to see if homes "make sense" for what we want to do. The problem we are facing is finding "the deals". I know that several big investor companies have come in and purchased literally THOUSANDS of homes here in Atlanta taking up opportunity from the little guys. But we are not deterred at all. We are hoping to make connections here through BP and at the REIA meetings and get this ball rolling!

Post: Morris invest - any insights?
