I've been on this site for awhile and have read a few books but I haven't been in a good situation to invest while being in the military. I get out next week and will be moving to Colorado Springs and I would just like to shadow someone in the whole investing process. I'm not comfortable enough to tackle this without seeing it done first hand. Webinars are helpful (I've watched many) but honestly, they make it look too easy! So I would greatly appreciate someone who is trusting that can maybe coach me through the whole process.

Hello everyone!
My name is Kaylyn and I am very new to BiggerPockets. However, I think I have a pretty good sense of what is going on and how I can dive into this. I am currently 5 months out from EASing from the Marine Corps with the plan of attending college in Colorado Springs. I am planning to use the VA home loan to purchase my first home that I will live in while being a student at UCCS, however, I definitely want to rent it out after. Anyone in the local area that may be able to give me good suggestions on where to look? Good areas of purchase so it would be most appealing to a future resident? Or really just where to begin at all. I've never bought a home so I've never used the VA home loan. If anyone has anything for me, I'd greatly appreciate it!
My name is Kaylyn, and I was somewhat active on this site a while ago but I stopped because I didn't feel like there was anything I could do in my current situation. I am a US Marine stationed overseas in El Salvador but am leaving within the next few days to Ethiopia. Anyway, I am originally from California but plan on moving to Colorado in 2018. Anyway, I'm new to this but very eager to learn and get started if possible. Happy to be here! :)

I'm currently serving in the Marine Corps but will be out in 3 years, would it be possible to begin any sort of Real Estate investing while overseas?
My name is Kaylyn and I'm 20 years, motivated and excited to learn about Real Estate knowing that this is by far the best type of investing I can get into. I'm extremely new and any advice to get started would be extremely helpful and appreciated! Thank you.
