I am also near Greensboro and new to Bigger Pockets. My husband and I are close to completing our first flip in Summerfield and ready to find our next deal. We are looking to meet with other investors in the area. Thanks for the information @Karen Rittenhouse! Hope to meet some of you soon!

@Ken Nyczaj nice work, looks amazing!

@Ned Carey, thanks! As I mentioned, the fact that we are using bank financing is the reason we are NOT looking at auctions or auction sites.

Thanks @Benjamin Seibert! Some members of my running club ran Baltimore last year and they loved it- good luck!

Thank you @Elise Hazzard! I have viewed some auction sites, but have read very mixed reviews on whether or not they are reputable. Which sites do you use? Two major things are holding me back from auctions. First, being new to investing, I am a little uneasy about the process of ensuring clear title. Second, we are currently using bank loans to buy so we can build a track record before jumping into hard money or private lending- so no cash. The good thing about where I live in NC though is that you can find pretty decent properties for under $100K, so hopefully it won’t be long until we can raise cash. Thanks again for the tip!

Hi Everyone! I’ve been listening to the BP podcast now for several weeks on my long commute to and from work and decided to start a profile and introduce myself. This sounds like a great community and I am excited to connect with people with similar goals and interests. I am a full time pharmacist and my husband entered back in to the work force about 2 years ago after staying home with our two sons for 6 years. We started a home renovation company and have had a lot of success over the past 2 years, but we have always had the goal of investing in real estate and recently decided to go for it. We closed on our first deal, a fix and flip in Summerfield, NC, at the end of July and are currently doing renovations. We hope to be done in about 4-5 weeks and it is going well so far. I am currently looking for another fix and flip opportunity between my full time management job and training for my first ultra marathon!
