@Jay Hinrichs That was my original thought but I don't know if 10k is worth going after if I have to pay a lawyer.

So a few Army buddies and I each chipped in 10k each to buy rental properties under an LLC. As the years have gone by it appears the "buddy" that runs it has been lieing to us and we dont own the properties that he says we do. He has been making false income and expense statement and putting them out each quarter. I called the local police and they say they cant do anything. Suggestions?

I bought my first duplex six years ago with my VA loan. I took out a Heloc to buy a second duplex which I have fully rented. Now I would like to free up my VA loan to buy a single family residence to live in and rent out the two duplexs fully. I have an LLC that the second property is in and would be adding the first to it. What are my options for achieving this?

@John Casmon it would be 3 adults and a child in a 3 bedroom. I dont like it so I will probably get rid of the one problem tenant and move the other in.
