Congrats on making the leap Thomas! I must say I'm a little jealous. My wife and I are in the midst of trying to acquire our first! We manage a big apt complex and are ready to start our our portfolio! I would love to get with you and hear how your experience went and would gladly give you feedback on what we experience from the property management side of things. Let me know if you are interested. My wife and I co manage apartments but would like to start off in two branches. I love the idea of house hack with duplexes etc. because we live where we work there has always been a reality that a loss of a job would be catastrophic because we would loose 2 jobs and a house all in the same moment. So having a back up of " somewhere to live" in a worse case scenario is very appealing. We also are really interested in the lease to own scenario on 3/2 4/2 etc. in talking with my wife this am she is beginning to express interest in flipping with the experience we have of "make readies". Having done literally thousands of them over the years and the efficiency we have learned over the years. We would love feedback and to find groups in the area or online to get connected with. Any direction or input would be priceless!
