This is a phenomenal website, lots to learn (check out the blogs and Webinars). I'm from Orlando as well, great town, lots of competition. Make sure you can go the REI meetings typically on Thursday nights in Winter Park. At least that is one of the RE clubs.

I do not think you need to register in another state to do business (like REI). For instance, if you have an LLC in NJ, and want to buy in CT, there is nothing preventing you to do this! Do you think the guys that buy houses/apt bldgs go register in every state they find a deal in? If you find a great product in another state and buy via there website in Montana, that company is not register in your state!

Open your LLC, get a Biz Bank account. and Go buy some Real Estate.

What others are saying about the No PO Boxes is correct. You can have the LLC register to your home based business, you need to have a Register Agent (RA), this can be YOU or your CPA or your Attorney (assuming they are ok with). Whoever the registered agent is, the RA agent address must match. You can have a mailing address a PO Box, no problem. The RA must be a responsible person (if not you), since they are the person that gets Served with court papers.

Hola Carlos, I'm also new to BP (awesome site), and I'm at the border of Windsor Locks and Windsor (by the Airport) pretty close to you. I've been looking for SFH and Multi's to rehab and flip. We can get together for coffee and talk about our experiences. Maybe go look at some houses together. I'm not familiar with rehabs in New England (wood houses, siding etc..) since I'm from FLA, everything (95%) is block, no basements...

Hello fellow BP'rs... 

I'm new to the area and I'm looking for an Agent to help with leads in the Windsor, CT area, and that they know the area! Investor friendly, and not shy about submitting 70% rule offers or alike. Looking for SFH and Multi's to rehab and flip.

Thanks for any referral, and please I prefer someone with time under their belt, that knows what to look for and has an established network. If I was from here, I would not mind a newby Agent to help out. Not trying to be mean but, time is valuable, more than money, I just don't have it!

Research and ask lots of question, there is a lot to learn, especially in what your are trying to do, to avoid the pitfalls.

Hello folks and admins, is there (if not can there be) Sticky or section where rehabbers can post their proud before and after pics of the front, kitchen, bathrooms etc... This would help greatly the newbies in getting ideas when we go see "Ugly" houses and picture them in the after repaired state?
