@Bill Plymouth Thanks. Yeah I have no intention on breaking a law. I've been private messaged by people saying there's ways to go around the move in rule that doesn't actually break the law, but still I'm more interested in getting a conventional loan using OPM. But yeah, not interested in cutting corners. I hope people stop mischaracterizing me based on a question on the internet. My curiosity in this certainly exploded on the forums quickly

@Oliver Bergsjo I agree. I didn't really know if the whole "living there for a year" was a big deal or enforced or unethical. That's why I asked the question. I have no intention of doing the plan. And I agree about being moral. Morals are my primary why in the first place. Helping charities that help animals is my biggest motivation

@Bill Rich Thanks for the reply. So you don't think I could get an FHA loan even if I was to move in to it and rent out my old home?

@Jordan Moorhead Yeah I'm willing to move, but my girlfriend isn't. And if she's not on board, I'll just have to do some other plan. And yeah I had no interest in going around the law in any way

Yeah I've thought about long distance, but one of my strengths is that I know how to do plumbing and many other home building/ maintenance skills, so I think I'll make it work near me. And as far as moving, it's a good idea except that our day jobs are here and so is our families and friends.
