@Paul De Luca Thanks for taking a time and responding on my post.

What I am trying to tell in my post is I have selected/Joined Baird & Warner thinking I would go and do training but as you said, you have to learn by yourself, I have learnt everything by myself (I am not relying on the company for anything). So, I think It is a good time to switch the brokerage. I might join the Investor friendly local brokerage where fellow agents are working with Investors. I am just looking for that culture where agents are like minded.

Do you have any recommendation for me?

Hi All, I have been a realtor from last 2 years. So far, I have worked as a buyers agent and closed multiple transaction. Recently I started working with a client who is new to real estate investment. By working with him, We are all learning together on buying a condo, getting a landlord license, listing a property for rent etc.. I am with B&W which is a great company but I am not learning anything to be honest. I don't go to office, I don't do any training that they are scheduling. Few times, I tried going there but I did not feel the worth of my time. Now, I am looking for a change of brokerage to get more commission split, work with Investor friendly agents.
Can you please recommend me a brokerage that I should consider to join?

I got my License last year with the same mindset and joined Baird & Warner. I am not saying you should join this firm.

Is there a difference between joining a regular real estate firm like B&W, Keller William etc vs investor friendly firm? I have learned Home buying process in last 1 year and closed 4 buyer side transactions.

I would love to hear from everyone on what else I would have learned If I would have choose the investor friendly firm?

BTW, Welcome in this community.

Hey @Victor So, I would love to connect with you once you moved here. Yes the investment would be purely long term rental, for now. Once I gain the experience then I might introduce different strategies. I will be buying a house for my family soon so I am not going to do house hacking.

Hi @Jonathan Klemm - Thanks for taking a time and commenting on my post. Yes I really using MLS and other access wisely.

I would connect with Mark and checkout his podcast. I listed straight up Chicago investor podcast BTW.

I just read @Mark Faustrum and @Joe Mueller profiles. They are very close to where I live. I would love to connect with them. Thanks for the recommendation.

Hi All,

My name is Krunal Patel. I am from Schaumburg, IL (Northwest Suburb of Chicago). It's been a 3-4 months I have started involving myself in real estate investment journey. I have read the book "Rich dad poor dad" which inspired me for personal finance and investment. I then started listening various real estate podcasts, reading books. I am actively learning about REI. To understand, real estate thoroughly, I needed to access all the tools and data which can help me understand properties and market trends. so I prepared and got my real estate License.

I am in the process of learning and networking. I would love to connect with rookie investors and experienced investors to know more about them and learn from them.

My short-term plan: I want to start investing in northwest Chicago suburb where I live and It would be long term rental.

Thanks!

@Eric Matthews I have DM'ed you on FB. Let's connect
