I'm looking to buy (as well as sell) my first investment property on Roofstock.

Does somebody have a referral link they want to send me? Monetary incentive for us both :)

@Justin Sumulong did you find a good property manager? I'm purchasing a property in the same zip as yours and need to find one!

About to close on a rental property in Alabama and looking for a mortgage lender who provides great service. Prefer a referral (rather solicits from lenders themselves)

My goal is to acquire about 5-10 properties in the next 1 year. Given the time /effort in finding each property and all the paperwork required, somebody suggested acquiring a portfolio. Seems to make sense as I've a full time plus job right now and could use any economies of scale I can find.

Any suggestions on where to go looking for one? I see some on Roofstock but wondering if there are other leads out there?

Post: Real Wealth Network vs Roofstock for Turnkey

I'm looking to compare the two turnkey vendors, RWN (Real Wealth Network) and Roofstock. (I think turnkey is a newer service by Roofstock https://join.roofstock.com/turnkey) towards buying my first turnkey rental.

RWN is well known service and one of their strength is definitely the power of the network. Their vendors have to do good by them or they risk being shunned. I'd think Roofstock would be just as worried about their reputation, plus they have a ton of information that is well organized on their portal.

Wondering what you guys think about these two services, and why one'd pick one vs the other?

The answer depends on how long you want to keep the mortgage. You've to do a simple calc on savings over approx holding period, vs cost of closing now. I did a simple spreadsheet to get the numbers. Took me 5 mins. Also you may be able to deduct the money you paid for points of your taxes.

Would it be worth to buy that many points? 35 basis points in this scenario is adding to about $10k. We also got a quote of a 2.635 rate at 1.15 bps points which is about $3.5k. Does it make sense to buy the rate down for that amount or cash out the difference for a future investment?

I looked at the same situation recently. The HELOC rate that I was quoted was way higher, over 5-6%. However the 30 yr fixed rate I'm looking at is much lower, at about 3.5 % for the cash out refi.

What HELOC rates are you seeing?

I'm based in San Francisco and looking for tax advice in order to structure my investments with the best tax benefit. Any tax advisors you recommend who may be taking new clients? The tax advisor doesn't have to necessarily reside in the area but thought to ask other folks here first. thanks
