Welcome!  Lisa

Thanks @Lisa Arlt Escoto, I am already enjoying it thoroughly.  I will certainly check out the podcasts.  They are an integral part of my day job, so I'm already very familiar with the learning process from them.

Thanks again for the welcome message!

Look up "The RING" (Real Estate Investors Networking Group) on meetup.com to meet lots of other active investors in the Baton Rouge market! I'm a member and I don't get any kind of kickbacks for recommending the group. I've made lots of good connections through the group! Hope to see you there.

I'm right down the road here in Lafayette. Give me a call or email me if I can help you out in any way!

Thanks for the kind welcome to BP @Robert Leonard

I will do just that, thanks for that bit of information.  I was just in your neck of the woods a few days ago.  Nice to already see people in my area on BP.

Of course I also extend the same offer; however, I may not be of any use for a bit while I get my footing down.

Thanks again!

Hello All,

My name is Kyle Coleman and I found this site while working with a colleague and the topic of rental properties came up.  He told me about BP and I've been lurking for a few weeks getting an idea of whats going on.  It appears to be a wealth of information and I'm happy to be a part of it.

My family (parents) had a relatively small yet profitable involvement in rental properties during my teen years in which I helped out a lot with.  I will eventually have to inherit all of the properties that they own (unless they liquidate); so I decided that I might as well get a jump on the ball and start investing my own money into units.  That being said; my niche is pretty much decided in that I will continue down the path of buy and hold to rent.

I currently work in the Information Technology field as a primary source of income which I assume I will continue to do for quite some time.  I like what I do but I want to add to my cash-flow and start putting my money where it will benefit me in the long run.  I recently purchased my own home which chewed up a good bit of my reserves.  I am currently saving back up and intend to start actively looking for my first buy and hold unit very soon.

I look forward to speaking with any and all of you in the future.

Thanks for reading,

Kyle
