I have been really trying to decide where to start my investing. I would like to put my focus in one area starting out. Here is my problem. The area I live in is a hot sellers market. Homes are getting multiple bids often exceeding the asking price. If the appraisal aren't high enough buyers are paying the difference. I would like to do something to generate income to pay off debt, then work on building a cash flow portfolio. Any advice on where to start in my market?

I have decided I need to start moving. I have an old truck without power steering and it turns a lot better when it's moving ....I think there is a lesson there :)

Well after being deep in analysis paralysis I have decided I am going to start moving....I have goals but I don't know exactly where the path is going. I can only see a few steps ahead. I have decided the most important thing is to start moving. I have created a new blog here....please visit! I will tell my story there. I am looking forward to interacting and hopefully meeting some of you in person someday. This is a truly awesome site and it will take me a while to read all the things I want to on here. I am committed to start doing as I continue to learn.

It's going to take a lot of hard work and determination to pay off all the debt and acquire wealth. Dave Ramsey has a lot of good information on how to pay off debt. I don't agree with a lot of his business advice but I do think his personal finance courses are excellent.

We have used some of his techniques and we are making progress.
