Has anyone had any experience with FarmFolio, or other LOT investment strategies?

Thank you, Paul

That sounds like what I was thinking, the passive investing may be the best starting off point. Later, I may look into syndicates and JV.

I'm assuming I would have to pay the Tax on the rollover into self directed.

Thank you, Taylor

That was my first thought, to take a loan (they allow 50K) and put it into an RE deal with CF.  But, I am at the point in my life that I can take the whole thing out.  I'd have to pay the taxes and am wondering if paying those taxes now and investing in real assets makes any sense. I guess I'm asking if I'd have a better return on RE instead of stocks.

I am at the point where I can take distribution from my 401K, and would like to move from paper assets to real assets.  Does anyone have any ideas on if this is a good idea, and are there any tax strategies I can employee to reduce Uncle Sam's sticky fingers.
