@ Thomas: I'm not sure yet what type of rental properties. I'm hoping to meet/chat with various investors to get feedback on what they recommend.

@Ali: I work at Twentieth Century Fox in the Real Estate Dept. Sort of like a property management job but from a client perspective. I want to learn about what the day to day work looks like for those who begin investing in rental properties. Have you conducted any renovations or build-outs? How did you go about finding tenants? What's the most challenging part of being a landlord. I know I want to begin investing in a couple years so I want to sit down with a couple people to learn as much as I can about what this sort of commitment looks like.

I've been doing a lot of research on rental property investing and I'm looking for a mentor/part-time employer in the Los Angeles area. I currently work in the real estate field but am looking to expand my network and learn as much as I can about real estate. I'm willing to help out with your business part-time and/or just shadow you for a couple hours as you do you work. Is anyone out there looking or needing help with their rental property business? If so, lemme know!

I have been listening to the Bigger Pockets podcasts and am starting to get really excited about the possibility of getting into REI. I currently work in the Real Estate and Facilities Management Dept. of a large company and was thinking of possible leveraging what I already know of property management and taking on an additional job as a Resident Property Manager for a local apartment complex somewhere in Los Angeles.

What's the best way to find available Resident Property Manager poositions in my area?
